Eloise is passionate about detailed, clear and imaginative storytelling and brings this commitment to her work on both theatre and opera productions. She has recently revived Katie Mitchell’s Miranda (after Purcell) on tour at Theatre De Caen and for Opera National de Bordeaux.
Her experience of working with writers to facilitate and encourage their vision has led to productions at London’s leading fringe venues, including Theatre503, Ovalhouse and The Kings Head. She has worked on site-specific, open-air and promenade productions of Shakespeare, including a Finnish version of The Tempest. She is returning to Cambridge Shakespeare Festival to direct A Midsummer Night’s Dream this year. As an assistant on opera she has worked with Katie Mitchell, Christopher Cowell, Dan Ayling and Karen Gillingham.
Eloise graduated with an MA in Theatre Directing from Mountview Academy under Peter James CBE and a first-class BA in theatre studies from the University of Surrey.
