Eloise Lally makes bold, imaginative work, specialising in ensemble storytelling with young adults.
She has recently opened a new production of Purcell’s ‘The Fairy Queen’ for Hampstead Garden Opera and will soon be creating a new work around Caryl Churchill’s radio play ‘Not not not not not not enough oxygen’ for Peckham Levels.
Recent credits include : Lucrezia Borgia for English Touring Opera, a double - bill of short play’s with third year actors at Mountview Academy and as a dramaturg for Hooligan Art Community.
Working across theatre, opera and conceptualising new forms, Eloise’s work is physical, musical, visual and collaborative. As a revival director for Katie Mitchell’s operatic productions , she has worked in Europe’s leading opera houses. This has included productions at The Liceu, Oper Koln, WNO and Opera National de Bordeaux.
Her theatre work has included site - specific, outdoor production’s of The Tempest, Cymbeline & A Midsummer Night’s Dream for Finnish community group Romulan Teaterri Taitellinene and Cambridge Shakespeare Company.
As an assistant, she has worked with Louisa Muller at Garsington Opera, Ella Marchment for Wexford Opera Festival and recently toured Paul Carr’s new production of ‘Powder Her Face’ with the Netherlands Reisoper.
She has an MA in Theatre Directing from Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts and a 1st class Ba in Theatre from University of Surrey.
